If you have ANY PERSON  living with you who is 18 years and over, whether they are family or not, your Housing Benefit could be effected.  This person will be classed as a non-dependant and a deduction may be made from your on going entitlement.

 

 

WHEN DO YOU NEED TO FILL IN A FULL HOUSING BENEFIT APPLICATION FORM?

•  If you have just started work and want to claim for a four week extension of your housing benefit
  
• A claimant dies and the partner is left in the property
• If you have just come out of employment

If you are already on Housing Benefit everything else is treated as change of circumstance's and evidence will be required.
