YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

As part of Cosmopolitan's Resident Involvement in Development & Regeneration Project Group YOU could make a real difference. Cosmopolitan are striving to improve the quality and value for money of its Development & Regeneration services. As a part of our commitment to continuous improvement we ask you to consider the following questions:

Are you interested in shaping how your Development & Regeneration services are delivered?
Do you wish to be part of a team, made up of tenants, partners from other housing associations and staff?
Will you help promote and encourage good practice in Development & Regeneration services within the Association?

If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, then you can make a difference to Cosmopolitan's Development & Regeneration Project Group.

The Resident Involvement in Development & Regeneration Project Group, is a tenant consultation body with whom officers of Cosmopolitan engage and discuss with to obtain views, comments and feedback. The group work with staff to identify areas of development and regeneration that offer opportunities for meaningful resident involvement. Their work reflects Cosmopolitan's principals of consulting and engaging with stakeholders on the Association's strategy to deliver good quality homes, to ensure value for money and explore new initiatives.

The Group is now working to develop a more formalised role, with tenants leading the direction of the group with assistance from staff. Successful expamples of their involvement to date include:

Gaining a practical understanding of the development process
A knowledge of the regeneration agenda both locally and nationally
An awareness of the role of the 'professional' team i.e. project manager, architect, quantity surveyor and employers agent
Visits to various new build schemes being developed by Cosmopolitan
'Tracking' the development of such a scheme in South Sefton from the vacant site through to completed homes.
